About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing the supervised visits and changeovers of children with their separated parents or caregivers while overseeing the work of sessional Children's Contact Service staff.

To be successful in this role, you are required to possess:

  1. Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, early childhood education, or related discipline and/or relevant experience.
  2. Excellent observational, telephonic communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to do therapeutic engagement with children and parents/carers.
  3. Demonstrated mediation, conflict resolution, negotiation and advocacy skills to act on behalf of vulnerable clients and demonstrated ability to rapidly identify client needs, assess risk and prioritise accordingly.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of services available to children and their families as well as demonstrated networking and relationship building skills.

Salary & Benefits

The salary on offer is in the range of $80,953.60 to $84,884.96 per annum plus superannuation for full time. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), RACR employees also receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities, thus significantly increasing the value of your take-home pay.

According to the RACR Enterprise Agreement, the successful candidate will have access to generous leave provisions, annual leave loading, special paid leave during annual holiday shutdown period and flexible working arrangements.
