About the Role

Senior Services Mediator within the Senior Relationships Services program is an ongoing role available on part time basis. Currently 2 positions are available where one will be based in Deakin, ACT and another at Wagga Wagga, NSW.

This position assists older adults and their families to make plans and reach agreements about ageing and age-related issues while ensuring that the older person is safe and that their rights are respected.

To be successful in this role, you are required to possess:

  1. An appropriate tertiary qualification in law, social sciences, social work or psychology.
  2. Strong skills and experience in dispute resolution, including assessments and mediation interventions.
  3. An in-depth understanding of family violence, elder abuse, ageing and ageing related issues.
  4. Demonstrated capacity to relate well to clients and other stakeholders.

Salary & Benefits

The salary on offer is in the range of $80,953.60 to  $84,211.27 per annum plus superannuation for full time. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), RACR employees also receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities, thus significantly increasing the value of your take-home pay.

According to the RACR Enterprise Agreement, the successful candidate will have access to generous leave provisions, annual leave loading, special paid leave during annual holiday shutdown period and flexible working arrangements.
