Disability Royal Commission - Support
Support for the Disability Royal Commission will continue until 2023. It will look at ways to protect people with disabilities from experiencing violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation.
Our services
We offer:
- Information about the Disability Royal Commission,
- Support to make decisions about whether, and how, to share your story with the Commissioners,
- Trauma informed person-centered counselling,
- Information and help to access other services that you may need including legal advice, advocacy, financial support, housing and mental health and
- Information about the impacts of trauma and skills and strategies to manage these.
What to expect
We have multi-disciplinary trauma informed teams who will work collaboratively with you to meet your individual needs. We will ensure that you feel safe to discuss your issues and that all sessions are strictly confidential.

We are able to offer appointments:
- at our offices in Canberra, the Riverina and the NSW south coast,
- come to you, or
- offer counselling over the phone or via Zoom
If you find it difficult to hear or to speak, you can contact us through the National Relay Service (NRS). Please call 133-677.
If you require support in another language, you can use the Translating Interpreting Service (TIS) free of charge by
- calling us and asking for an interpreter or
