About us

We are an independent, not-for-profit organisation committed to enhancing relationships to foster personal and community wellbeing.

At Relationships Australia Canberra & Region we believe everyone is entitled to positive and healthy relationships, whether these relationships are at work or in our personal lives. Our aim is to ease the suffering and distress of vulnerable and disadvantaged people, building their physical, social and emotional well-being.

    Our Staff

    At Relationships Australia Canberra and Region, we have a team of high-skilled counsellors, mediators, community workers, mental health practitioners, family support staff and educators who provide a range of family support services. Our service delivery professionals are tertiary qualified and highly experienced. They come from a variety of backgrounds including psychology, social work, law and education.

    Our support team comprises experienced professionals focused on client services, finance, research, business development, human resources, ICT, marketing and communications.

    Clients contacting our services are routinely screened for risk and we aim to provide a service in a timely way, although demand for our services is consistently high. Our practitioners are trained in child protection, suicide risk and violence intervention and other risks faced by many of the people who seek our help.
