Child Safety & Wellbeing

At Relationships Australia Canberra & Region, we are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. We adhere to the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations as developed by the Australian Human Rights Commission.

We provide an environment where children and young people are safe, feel safe and their voices are heard.  We have zero tolerance for child abuse, with processes imbedded to protect children and young people from abuse. We take all allegations and concerns seriously and will respond to these accordingly.

Our commitment extends to the cultural safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people, and children and young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. We also foster a safe environment for all children and young people with a disability.

To learn more about what we are doing to support the safety and wellbeing of children and young people please see our Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy.
